What is Horizons?

Horizons is a resource program offered through the Columbia County School district with a focus on enriching our gifted learners. The goal of the Stevens Creek Horizons Program is to expose our students to as many unique educational opportunities as possible. We understand that each student is different and may enjoy some opportunities more that others. By increasing the variety of programs offered, we hope to help each student find something new to engage them. We also focus on project based learning which is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.
